You trust us because we stand out in committing to you by investing in you and your project and empowering your team to do and think differently. We stand out for our mind-set in putting you at the heart of all we do. We promise to provide not only our technical expertise, but exceptional client service. We create an environment in which we exceed expectations. We have exceptional people who work tremendously hard to deliver the highest quality service. Our experienced planning team offers clients a full range of planning services. Please see boxes below.

We see the following as key areas of working with you:

  • Agree the strategy by analysing the development constraints of the project.
  • Ensure the EIA process is legally robust.
  • Undertake a legal audit to ensure a legally robust planning application.
  • Advice in responding to third parties and consultees.
  • Provide CIL advice and liaise with the Council accordingly.
  • Advice on the Committee Report that goes before members.
  • Assist with the section 106 obligations by preparing detailed heads of terms to be used as the basis for negotiations.
  • Draft and negotiate the section 106 agreement based on the agreed detailed heads.
  • Advice on the appropriateness of the planning conditions sought.
  • Prepare a report to your funders/Board that summarises the section106 agreement and planning risks going forward.

We are used to advising on schemes on a range of bases - from having full control and deep involvement, to a “light touch” monitoring of others, and the whole spectrum in between. We are used to being part of large multi-disciplinary teams and understand land and development valuation requirements, and can talk to planners and surveyors using their language. We also spot the issues that will arise, and can act as a “critical friend” in testing the robustness of strategies.

We understand your project timetable and each member of the team will during the period from appointment be available to give the projects the highest priority. Martha will be available to spend as much time on strategic issues as may be necessary and would give the project absolute priority over other matters. We put togethers teams who we believe can deliver the projects. Relationships are key to everything we do and we pride ourselves on fostering long standing relationships with our key clients. This pervades our whole team and we ensure that all team members from the most junior to the most senior are fully involved and engaged in your projects so as to deliver a seamless and refreshing service.

We are an ambitious, determined, outward-facing, diverse, agile and entrepreneurial business that uses our skills and resources to positive effect.  For you.

Martha is a committed and hard-working barrister who is relentlessly focused on understanding and fighting for the client’s requisites and ambitions. Throughout the process, often at a cost to her own private and holiday time, she has shown an amazing dedication and an unconditional support to the project. In my opinion Martha brings qualities of intelligence, pragmatism and professionalism and a most needed analytical and methodical approach to her contribution. She is also fun to work with and has a great attitude toward creating and maintaining good interpersonal relationships
